The trusts’ overhead and administration expenditure is 6,5% with a benefit of 93,5% to the beneficiaries.

The purpose of the fund is to create and cause sustainability for the ‘poor’ / beneficiaries. This fund was created in Segametsi Hope (SA). Tiger Wheel & Tyre (SA) made the first grant donation of R570,000 to open the fund during 2011. Since 2011 the Segametsi Hope Sustainability fund grew to more than R3,000,000. The focus of application is to create sustainable and profitable projects or
business units for Segametsi Hope members. Tiger Wheel & Tyre’s funds were mainly invested around the Informal Day Care centres in an attempt to achieve financial stability or additional income at the Day Care centre.

The Socio Economic Fund is a ‘giving’ account. In South Africa, corporations need to give 1% of NPAT to a defined beneficiary. Jedidiah Trust is accredited to receive those funds, give the donor / grantor the relevant B-BBEE documentation for it to qualify for the relevant points in the accreditation process. In terms of the B-BBEE codes, the funding must be applied into the appropriate defined areas. This will vary from sector to sector. Jedidiah Trust will ensure that the correct application for your B-BBEE code requirements is followed.
